Corporate Restitution - Infinite Loop Reset

Should Riot be beholden to its community (the players) when a giant error happens? I'm speaking of one where a large base misses gaming time due to the client failing? What is an appropriate restitution for such an occurrence? Such as, free IP weekend, a free icon or skin? Or is Riot cleared of any restitution because these things happen, get over it? What are your thoughts community?

I would say these things happen, and if you don't like it or believe they happen too frequently, then you are free to go to a competitors game (DOTA, HOTS, etc) Now I could see having a double IP weekend or something if the server were unavailable for several days, but a few hours, meh.
