Game crashing right after champ select? Staring at the "reconnect" button feeling your blood pressure going up? No fear. I figured this out.

OK, so, I was able to get the game working normally by:

In Bitdefender, adding exceptions for every league program (both the client .exe and the game .exe) to both the firewall and anti-spyware.
Turning off "advanced threat detection" in bitdefender, completely. It is a total burr and will not allow the addition of exceptions to its brutal reign of terror, so it must be deactivated.

Everything now works fine. I can play the game again. Very happy.

MF Rax back on the rift!

That did the trick. I added \riot games\game\league of legends.exe , \riot games\leagueclient.exe , \riotgames\leagueclientux.exe, and \riot games\leagueclientexrender.exe

I had the same issue, and this worked perfectly. Never would have thought to turn off the advanced threat detection, thank you.

Exactly the same issue and it works for me too, thanks for the report it helped me to comeback to the rift and show to everyone that i have the best cassio of EUW xD

Thank you so much! I've been stuck with this issue since the update, and player support didn't really help my issue.
