Kennen ult ring not visible?

I just finished playing a game of aram, and was up against a kennen on the enemy team, i included the team line up in a link. Anyway, once he reached level 6 and every time he would ult no matter the situation, the ring that appears around him when he ults and the additional electricity, minus the ones that show you getting hit from the sky, didn't show up. I am not sure if this was a bug or if it may had been something else, but when i asked my team if they could see it, they replied saying they couldn't see it either. Might be needing seeing into.
