OS X Launcher Freeze

Every time i run the Launcher is freezes after a couple seconds, this was not an issue up until now as all i needed to do was close the client, re-open and quickly click the space where the "Start" button will be before it freezes, however now i need to update and i can't if it freezes immediately. I've tried downloading a fresh client but it doesn't seem to start up, the 'LoLPatcherUx' shows up in the dock but no window opens. I don't have much of a technical knowledge so i don't really know what the issue might be.

I don't know if it makes a difference but the system i'm running is a late 2009 model iMac 21.5 inch with Mac OS X Yosemite version 10.10.2.

I had the same issue on my Mac.

What I did to fix it:

Start the client
Client freezes
Let the client sit there "frozen" for 10-15 minutes
Terminate the client
Start the client again

This should start the actual patching process and your client should function normally again.

had the same problem, tried screwing around with the game files a bit and eventually ended up deleting League of Legends/Contets/LOL/RADS/projects/lol_air_client/releases (the folder that's in releases) now my client is updating but it's going horribly slow right now, hope this might've helped you in any way

EDIT: it just finished step one, which was updating something something game files, now it's scanning files again but it's going really fast, might update when it's done

I've been suffering this problem. It seems it's only a UI freeze tho. I left it and watched disk and network activity. When those dropped I killed the patcher and then reopened LoL and it was updated altho had to click through the EULA's fast or it would freeze again.

Right now this bug isn't crippling but it is annoying. Hopefully Rito will find it in their code to fix it.

My launcher also freezes about 2 seconds after startup.

if your patcher freezes after starting up immediately i tried clicking a link immediately after it started up and then for some reason it didn't freeze

Hey guys, had same problem and downloaded, so what worked for me -> after some tries I was able to click and change region to EU West (am East). Surprised, it didnt freeze anymore and downloaded. Good luck to you all with this. (Seriously this needs update fast and immediately summoner 4 )
