Champion select bug

was in champ select waiting for a player to select their champion, then it timed out, froze, and then put me back in que and said i was the one who didn't choose a champion and then was given a 6 minute wait time before i can join que again. not sure how i was punished when i wasn't even given the option to lock in a champ due to the other player still choosing...
