[Client] Normal Wins in Pregame Lobby Count Both Summoner's Rift and Dominion Wins. Intended?

Today, as I entered a friend's pregame lobby, I noticed my normal wins sitting at 999. I know for sure that I had not won 1000 games on Summoner's Rift. I thought it might have been including ranked, but that proved to be false and a quick inspection of my profile showed that it combined normal SR wins and Dominion wins.

The pregame lobby was for Summoner's Rift, so I believe it should only show only your Summoner's Rift win count, not Dominion as well.

If this was intended, I'd be content with knowing: why is that so?
