League won't update (Mac)

I am able to enter the riot client and enter my login just fine. But it won't go farther than that. It just keeps loading until it gives up and gives me the "COULD NOT UPDATE" thing with the words "Things are taking longer than expected. You may wait longer, or try restarting. Otherwise, please contact Riot Support and we can work with you to fix this," underneath. I have tried the following with no results:

• Restarting the Client
• Uninstall and Reinstall
• Allowing the league connection on firewall
• Hextech Repair Tool
• Riot Support on Tech Issues

I have no idea what else to do. I would like to know what else to do to try to get League to work or update.
