Hello guys! I have just recently received the new icon. I was gifted Rakan, by one of my friend who also got the icon. We both played a lot of rakan and xayah. However one of my friend who bought both the champs and played them both, during the first week of the champ release, didn't get the summoner icon. Anyone of you know why?

Icon distribution has already begun, but it's not instant and there's no rhyme or reason as to who gets it when. What I can say is that the icon will be granted within two weeks after the promotion ends, so long as your friend is eligible. As long as (s)he has played two games as Xayah with Rakan on their team, or as Rakan with Xayah on their team in any completed normal, ranked, or bot match, they should be solid!
It takes time to distribute the icons. Just because some people get it doesn't mean you will get it at the same time.
