League connection error crashing

For the past few months, I have been encountering this error way too frequently. Basically, after champ select, it doesn't load, and a few seconds later it pops up with the message "Unable to connect to the server. Please check your network connection and attempt to reconnect to your game". I literally do everything in my power to get myself into the game (restart the computer, restart league) and it just doesn't let me into the game. So not only can I not enter the game I queued up for, I have to wait for it to finish or remake until I can use the freaking client. I have lost lp over this, and it is extremely frustrating. I tried posting to the reddit, but I am inexperienced and there are too many rules revolving around your title. Does anyone know if there is a known fix for this? It makes me want to pull my hair out.

PS: I don't know if this is important, but after the game finishes, all my presets in my client are reset. I don't mean like settings, but all my summoners for every game mode are reset back to heal and ghost, my skin preferences are reset, it keeps giving me popups for the introduction to S9 in the stats tab, and nuances that just shouldn't;t happen.
