How To Fix Temporary Game Disconnection Issue 10/06/2019

TL;DR - Disable Antivirus (Adding an Exception did not work for me. You have to turn off Real-Time Scanning/Protection).

How the issue works: When you finish champion selection, the game screen will turn black per usual, and then you will be hit with a notice. Instead of joining the game it crashes and disconnects you. Your game will keep disconnecting you and won't be able to load no matter how many times you click reconnect.

If you are like me and opened the client only to see a "Game Disconnection" Issue Notice and then blindly join a game thinking you would be unaffected by it, you've come to the right place. I saw this tip on another forum post and it actually worked. Hopefully if you encounter this issue Riot doesn't suspend you for leaving the match (including me :3), but try your best to join the game again ASAP and explain what happened to your teammates with a positive attitude. They will likely be understanding depending on how long it took you to rejoin, and how badly your team lost without you :)

This problem should be fixed soon and I only shared this tip to help future temporary encounters of it. Good Luck on the Rift!
