Smiting Little Monsters; No More??!?

Haven't had to in a while but ran into it a few times today, you cannot smite small jungle camp monsters anymore? I don't recall this being a thing before, am I crazy here?

Anyway; Reason's why you may want to:

  1. Counter jungled and planning to back. Not worried about the timer since I'm backing I just want to clear the camp and back to by goodies, some champs still have pretty slow clear time for the first 10-15 min, hello Volibear , lemme hit this 20times until I bite it.

  2. Stealing smaller guys from enemy while he's at the camp, maybe I want to steal those little ones gold for myself no? They are worth a good amount with a jungle item =D

  3. Are those pesky midlaners still stealing you camps that now have increased spawn rates, more gold for you and less for them? Are they plenty ahead and you're behind? Main monster is donzo but you want to try to reclinch your losses with your AOE smite as you run by to send a message, "this is my jungle, I don't come to your lane just to take CS do I?"

  4. Missclicked that smite blue/red buff steal cuz you're micro isn't up to par and you just smited the little guy in a frenzy of excitement, no worries cuz rito has you covered with the non-smite-able little guy addition, because in a skill based game you shouldn't really need skill........right? Wait wut?!?

  1. Mini creatures are even weaker than the larger monsters compared to before... and they were downright pitiful before anyways. Minor annoyance at best.

  2. No, still not probably worth it. And with the newest Smite additions, you may Smite that small monster instead of Smiting the jungler you're counter-jungling when you're using Challenging/Chilling Smite. Not so good... Additionally, new jungle items don't help for small monster gold. In fact, until this patch, they didn't earn a single cent more than anyone else in jungle, they just had better sustain/damage against the jungle compared to anyone else.

  3. Nobody cares about small potato gold like those. Nobody.

  4. Smite doesn't require skill. Period. Inventing skill in this way is more annoying than helpful, and being able to Smite the larger monsters instead of smaller ones shouldn't "set apart the good junglers from the great junglers." Additionally, this is basically the opposite of #2, and yet you're using both to support your idea? Yeah, not getting that...
