Alt-tabbing out causes game to freeze then go into a black screen for at least 5 seconds before going back to normal

It's mostly a Windows thing. Since it's full-screen, it renders it independantly instead of along with other windowed apps. So when you tab it, it has to load some things into memory, reload your non-fullscreen things from temp memory and redraw everything. Then tabbing back does it all again. It's horribly inefficient.

Using the Borderless option is optimal. It's like fullscreen, but 300% better.

Try Alt-Esc instead. Seems to work for me.

Same thing happens exactly to me since a few weeks ago.

It is not something that happens ingame, it is something related with the client.

I already play in borderless mode and when I switch between windows everything is ok... BUT if I do it with the client everytime I change the focus to another window the screen turns black for a few seconds. It is really annoying.

I do not know if it has something to do with the OS or the GPU (my PC is abouit 2 months old, GTX 1070 and so) but I really want to fix this issue.

¿Does anyone know how to solve it?
