[CLIENT] Launcher is black with no "Play Button"

When trying to open launcher, all that opens is a black screen that is unresponsive except for the "X" and "-". Will not patch, will not load anything, stays black even when I try to use HotSpot Shield or Fiddler. I've re-downloaded game about 12times, tried deleting launcher and patcher logs (didn't help at all) also run it as admin every time I open it, I've even reset winsock! Plus gone through my firewall (AVG internet security) to make sure League can pass without any problems. I have even disabled my Firewall to make sure it wasn't that. I've read something about the ISP maybe having something to do about it, but I don't know anything about that. Was working perfectly on 25th of February 2015, but then I come home after work to play on 2/26/15 at night around 11:30ish (pm) B.C Canada time and I get this black screen!

Right click on League of Legends shortcut
Run as Admin
Click "Yes" for Admin privileges
Launcher opens to a black screen

This has made me very unhappy, especially since I also have a ticket open and no one has replied to it yet and it's been 4 days! All I want to do is play League, and no one is helping me at all. I've done my part, now it's time for you to do yours! Please and thank you.

Same problem here, same things tried... started a few days after the DJ Sona update for no apparent reason - any update?

Ya I have the same problem and tried all the things you have listed and nothing worked. I contacted Support but none of the things they told me to do helped. They told me that I will be contacted by someone else. So when/if I get a solution to the problem I'll let you know. :)

Same for me had this problem the day the sona patch came out and also when i look in my Rads folder i only have lol launcher and lol patcher i dont have lol air client pls help thanks.

http://www.tweaking.com/files/setups/tweaking.com_windows_repair_aio_setup.exe (this is to see if you need to run check disk also you can run a Sfc /scannow from here and also fix loads more )

i would first try a uninstall reinstall first or try and run repair ... maybe

you can try this too

Step 1: go to Computer > Riot Games > League of Legends > RADS > projects

Step 2: Delete "lol_air_client" and "lol_air_client_config_na"

Step 3: Restart your computer

Step 4: Run league of legends and it shall begin to repatch everything thats in the folder since the repair button won't simply fix "Air Client" from not working. It only fixes the game stuff.

and BAM it should be fixed!

Hey guys, i had the same issue. And i will tell you how to fix it right now ^_^

SOLUTION: Depending on which Internet Security you may have, I have AVG. So all i did was Disable my AVG Protection, After that i relaunched my League of Legends, and it worked. So all of you having this issue, Disable your protection and you are good to go.

Hey guys my launch button turns from orange to grey when i click it and then it just closes i tried the thereisnourflevel thing and it didnt work i feel like im the only one that didnt make it work using the thereisnourflevel ... item 3073

I had this exact problem got it all resolved. the issue seems to be a rads issue and you have to go into your internet protocol 4 settings and changing it to values of 8 8 8 8 8 8 4 4 instead of automatically doing it. I got the information from a you tube video just search "How to fix RADS Error/Rads_user_kernel/Blackscreen bug/LoL Launcher/Crash after Champion Selection!" just thought I would share as it worked for me.

If anyone is still having this problem, I recommend turning off your proxy server if you have one activated. I had the same problem and it went away completely once I turned off my proxy.

Worked with me!

Step 1: Click your windows icon in the bottom left screen on Windows 7, and search run, and start the run program. If on Windows 8, you can press Windows Key + R to access the run program. I'm pretty sure this does work on Win 7 as well. Step 2: In run, type "inetcpl.cpl" (no quotes) and press enter. Step 3: In the internet properties popup, navigate to the Connections tab. Step 4: At the bottom of the Connections tab, click LAN settings. While in LAN settings, if ANYTHING is checked, uncheck it. Hit OK, and then OK in the Internet Properties. That's it, it should be fixed!
