Chalice of Harmony not regenerating enough mana.

I saw a post on here from yesterday saying that chalice is restoring too much mana but I just patched my client with 4.21 and chalice isn't restoring enough mana. It got a buff from 1.5% mana regen every 5 seconds to 2% every 5 seconds but when i buy it it's not replenishing my mana nearly as fast as it used to when it was still 1.5%. If anything it's halved in regeneration (at least). The only reason to really buy chalice is for the spamming potential and now that's gone. Another player also said they don't buy it anymore because of this reason.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed the decrease in mana regeneration. It destroys my favorite mages like syndra, and velkoz, and soraka and what not

i play anivia and noticed the decrease in mana regen, i liked to build a perm-ult item set occasionally which was stabilizing a lvl 3 ult (300 mana/5sec) with 300 mana left of a 2500 pool and without changing the items at all this patch the build no longer can sustain it at all.

Some friends and I have played a bunch of ARAMs today, and have noticed that rather than more mana regeneration with items like chalice, there seems to actually be far far less mana available on Chalice/Athene's champions like Sona/Ziggs/etc. I'm not sure what's causing this, but I've played enough with a lot of these chalice type champs to know their capabilities, and with builds that I'd find plenty adequate prior to this patch, I'll spend all game out of mana. Is there a bug or some hidden changes we don't know about??? This is a major problem, all champions that need to spam are close to unplayable now.

Yes im so glad someone else noticed. Don't know what went wrong, but the chalice is literally useless right now. However, It would've been amazing if it did regen 2% like it says it would. :(

I was the one who made that post.

The tooltip for chalice in 4.20 said it gave 1.5% missing mana every 5 seconds, but it was bugged and giving 1.5% missing mana at a much faster rate (close to every 2 or 3 seconds for whatever reason)

4.21 changed it to 2% missing mana every 5 seconds but they removed the bug so yes, it's giving less than the 4.20 chalice but only because it's no longer bugged. The mana you are getting back now is working as intended.
