[GAMEPLAY] MALZ UNPLAYABLE - R suppression cancels without a reason

Hi, first time offender here, hoping some QA guys are actually browsing here.

Since patch 7.22 I've experienced some of Malzahar R getting canceled immediately after being cast. I'd estimate it happening 20-40% of times - QUITE A LOT, and never was there a QSS or a Mikael's on the enemy champion.

It happened in other as well games and I might have been using other runes when it happened before.

EDIT: when rewatching in slowmo it seems like the aery cancels the channel.

Just so you know, item 3222 Mikael's Crucible does not stop Malzahar's suppression. It cannot remove suppression.

Anyway, it seems this video shows a human error, not a bug or whatever on the game. I noticed right around when your ultimate canceled, you used Q (silence ability). It seems likely that you canceled your own ultimate with Q. Just so you know, any other ability casts will cancel Malzahar's ultimate. This is an intended behavior.

You canceled it with your own Q. You need to Q before you ult XD. I've done that a million times, sometimes I confuse myself with it too

Hard to see, but was that the Aery rune? It might cancel channels upon lashing out to do damage.

I'm quite sure he canceled it with his own Q. Any other ability casts cancels Malzahar's ultimate, yes?

Possibly. I'm just pointing this out as I believe item actives can also cancel your own channels, so I was wondering if maybe Aery was coded as something similar.
