[AIR Client] Massive hang on loading from log-in screen, followed by black boxes

Some of the time (not always) when I log into league on the live client it freezes my computer for about 20 seconds (hdd noises, can move mouse cursor but can't actually click on anything) and then has all the news spaces as blank black space. I didn't notice this issue on the PBE when the launcher was being tested, so I'm not sure whether the transition to live broke something or whether something else is going on.
