Can't reenter ranked game

I was in a ranked game, it started to lag and it would not get better so I exited the game and tried to log back in, but I was not able to reenter the game. I was simply logged in like normal as if I was not in a game, and I was even able to start a queue for another game. The game was at about 10 minutes in when I left so there is no way that a surrender could have ended the game and on op.gg it said that I was still in a game. First time this has ever happened to me.
