Champion Select Freeze during Preferred Champion Pick

I got into champion select in Normal Draft and picked Irelia as my preferred pick, and waited. The timer reached zero and nothing happened. My team said "WTF?" and "OMG." After 10-20 seconds, it finally went into ban select, but I couldn't pick a ban. Suddenly, it kicked me up and temp ban me. I just played a game not that long ago and no problem with internet or this.
