Vald's troll pool not trolling the troll of all trolls :D

I was playing vald against a fizz because i seemed like a good counter because my troll pool and all, but when i w when his shark was on me, i still got the damage from the shark. Is this supposed to happen?

Sanguine Pool makes Vlad untargetable not invulnerable. Fizz's ultimate Chum the Waters is a skill shot that deals AOE damage.

Like's Fizz 's Trollpole it will stop skillshots moving towards them (this makes me very angry) but won't stop effects applied previously such as the fish from Fizz 's ult.
