League of Legends very new player unfriendly

I don't know if its just this season but the normal's matchmaking has been the worst I have ever seen. So much so that I am more likely to try and practice with a champ in ranked on another account. The matches have been so lopsided every time solo que normal. Either my team will have sub 20 players still mastering the game and champs or the other team will be blessed with new players still learning basics. I'm no pro player at all, you can check my match history and laugh but when I go against a new player like this I not only feel bad because its so one sided that they don't even get to practice their basics but it is also not very fun for me as it loses the competitive feeling of facing a challenging opponent. Hopefully the match making system for normals get better because I'm also not a fan of practicing champs in ranked but using normals as a way to see how they lane against difference matchups.
