Thresh losing the lantern distance when the lantern is active

I do not have a link to this happening, but it is quite annoying. When you throw out a Thresh W (Lantern) usailly there is a circle around you showing how far you can move before the lantern is removed. This seems to have been removed and is hurting me while I play thresh since I don't know how far I can go away from the player I am trying to lantern for.
