My client sometimes resets to the previous patch, i have to wait for it to go back to the new one

When I open the client on my mac, it sometimes resets to the previous patch that I had before updating the client. I had not played League for about 2 months or so it went to the previous 2 month patch and I had to wait for the new patch to be patched again. It just could be an issue of my client or computer, but please look into it.
