siver spellshield bug

i spellshielded a cosmic binding from bard, didnt take the damage get slowed and was refunded mana, the binding continued on hit another teamate and stunned me. this also occures with brand ultimate where the ability doesnt get absorbed as intended please respond on this as it has been an issue for at least 6 months now and it just caused me a loss in ranked.
