Says game is in progress, the client won't launch up the competitive game i was in, given penalty.

Hi Riot staff if ur reading this, I was playing a competitive game around 2:30 Western time and the game client wouldn't let me into the game. I went through the whole champ select. After a few minutes, I shut down the league client and when I logged again, it let me into the game after a few minutes but it was just a black screen. I waited another minute and a box popped op saying that I had no internet connection. I checked and I still had connection! I tried again to reset the client but when I logged in again, I was given a penalty and an lp loss. Is there anyway you can give me back my lp or is that not possible. I don't know if this has happened to anyone else but it is very frustrating. Thank you!
