[Client] MAC Login

So my buddy is trying to login on College Wifi after having downloaded Patches 5.5 to present. SUCCESSFULLY patched and went to login but it just takes a loonnnggg time loading and then "Connection error; Connection Failure; could not connect to PvP servers" yaknow, and the link that takes you to error info doesn't even work. and I've been browsing threads left and right, nothing is working. We've tried

  • Using acct < lvl5
  • Using my account
  • Restart
  • Re-download
  • a Slew of fixes by seaarching "league of legends MAC login error/fix" (error OR fix)

Halp.

I have the same issue on my PC, I have tried everything imaginable to fix it, and it still doesn't work. I followed all of Riots methods that SHOULD fix this, but it doesn't.
