Retrieving data instead of entering champ select, followed by 15 minute leaver ban.

So I login to play my first game of the night. Game finds queue, I accept. I hear the gong of me banning first. Instead of seeing anything, my client has a window with retrieving data for about 5 minutes. The window then goes away, and I am forced to close my client. Log back in, 15 minute leaver ban.

This is absolutely garbage. About as infuriating as when the bug ridden client crashes, kicks me out of the client, then tells me I abandoned a game once I finally get the dumpster back up and running.

Bans because the client is crap. Love it.
