Hextech Reroll Champion Permanent Bug?

I had 3 champion shards: udyr, shaco, and twitch. When I chose the option for Reroll Champion Permanent, I ended up with, not a champion, bug 50 freaking orange essences. Note the button clearly says "Reroll Champion Permanent" This is misleading. I'm pretty certain it now means "Reroll Everything Random Permanent" Just raging at this injustice and the misleading option.

Do you already own all champions? That seems like the only way it would bug out like that.

Did you ever get this resolved? Happened with me where I rerolled 3 skin shards and did not get the skin permanently. Instead had to pay 2600 Orange Essence ?????
