LEAGUE OF LEGENDS NOT OPENING (Mac 2019)

When I went to open my league of legends I clicked the icon and waited for it to load. But instead, once I clicked it an error message popped up saying, " You can't open the application "League of Legends" because it is not responding." the icon didn't bounce, it didn't load, just an immediate error message. The only way I've found to fix this is to restart my computer but once I close LoL and try to reopen it the same thing happens. From some quick digging in the forums other people seem to be having the same problem, and it seems to be an issue only on Mac, and only in 2019.
