(mac) black line on side of screen

When I start up a game I have to minimize the window so my mouse can work, but as soon as I minimize it a black line appears in the game on the left of the screen I did the same thing on my other mbp and the same thing happened, it only happens at 1050 resolution has anyone else had this problem
