This happened the other day. I highly doubt she was scripting as every other time it hit. I typed "?" in all chat and she said "yeah i saw that too" so like, what the hell riot

It is because the river which really needs to be fixed. It is the same with every skill shot. The visuals don't match the models in the river because it is programmed as being flat but shows the models being lowered. In your example, you were going from land to river so Leona's model was actually programmed as being higher than what was shown. Here is an example going the other way with Taric's stun.

As you zoom in, the angle of the camera switches to more of a top-down view which shows closer to what is actually programmed.
Someone is going to come and say some excuse about "the visuals and terrain."
Someone posted this a couple weeks ago but was near mid lane's river bush and the target was teemo. That is the excuse that was given. Despite it going halfway through his body.
Clearly riot is just trying to keep my love Morgana from being as great as she is supposed to be. SMH riot...
It's a bug. What's the reason for getting all fluffed about it? Small glitch, nothing to discuss, move on.
