The dreaded Sound Bug Mac users are talking about?

Not sure if it's the same bug or a different one (because no one really goes into an explanation).

Some times when I'm playing the game the sound gets all warbled (similar to a bad connection on Discord for whoever can get the reference). By warbled I mean that the sound overlaps(?) and I basically hear a new dubstep album. It happens the most during a team fight. I'm not sure if the FPS drops like some people describe, but it does throw me off so it (psychologically/visually) lags me. I noticed it ever since Aurelion Sol came out as the ARAM announcer (might have something to do with it, might not). I used the repair option and nothing changed so it must be a bug.

I've seen @Riot KateyKhaos going around stating that Riot is aware of the problem and that a team, that is not hers, is working on it. There is also no ETA on it. I just want a detailed post or response (maybe pinned or an article featured under News (the recall bug one was interesting)) that explains the bug and how Riot is going about solving it.
