ekko's Q ability

So i played a game against an ekko that had the sandstorm skin, and whenever he used his q and the skillshot reached the maximun range or hit something, it went completely invisible on the way back. So lets say ekko throws a q and hit a minion, the skillshot will continue to go forward briefly and return, from the moment that the skillshot hits the minion, the rest of the animation is invisible and that damage goes off regularly. So either this is a bug or a big buff on ekko :P
