Cassiopeia Miasma invisible

Just played a Hexakill game against a Cassiopeia. I kept getting slowed and poisoned when I shouldn't have, because her Miasma was invisible! I would watch her spit it out, and then there would be no puddle. In a bush or not. Not sure if it's because of the gametype or map or the champion, but
