Mismatched Chest prizes

So, I bought the mistletoe snowdown chest set when the "looting stars" event was active. But instead of giving me star related skins, the chests gave me the heart seeker skins. Is there a good reason why that is? I thought the chests prizes were supposed to mimic the event?
