Master Yi Alpha Strike Glitch

My friend played Master Yi in the jungle and there was an enemy Yasuo mid. Yi went to gank mid and Yasuo used windwall when Yi used alpha strike. This negated all damage from the alpha strike. I don't think this was an intended use for windwall, but it happened consistently. Is this a glitch or was it intentional?
