The Hell riot?

So i was in champ select and i was trying to lock in Diana and not only did it not let me pick Diana (somehow got moved to heimer) i couldnt even lock in causing me to dodge and go from 96 LP to 84 so id like to know why im being punished when your league client is the one that was flawed and didnt let me lock in please explain
