Locking in
idk if it's just me but locking in at 1 seconds because my team is slow as fuck to respond doesn't work, it just lets me spam the lock in button until it kicks me out.

I locked in with less than a second and (like you said) I "failed to lock in" and was kicked from matchmaking and instantly given 5min ban.
