Unable to lock in character

Sometimes, my character cannot lock and then the lock time runs out. Once the timer is out, I am told the other players are gone, but the screen remains the same. When you close league, it gives the message this game will then count as a dodge if you leave. I've ended 2 rank up series early because this glitch counted me dodging when it really was the game's fault for not letting me lock an available character.
