Blitz e knockup interaction with Fizz e

When playing Fizz against Blitzcrank I noticed that if he buffers knockup and is in range for an auto-attack,he can knock Fizz up when Fizz is already on his e and it immidiately drops Fizz of the Playful/Trickster ability.
