[GAMEPLAY] Champion stops in base after being issued move command towards lane

Every so often when I recall back to base then right-click near my lane turret to walk back to lane, before proceeding to look around the map and see how my allies are doing. When I think I'm back in lane, I go back to my champion only to find that they stopped somewhere roughly around the inhibitor. This happens regardless of whether I click on the minimap, or actually on the ground. It happens perhaps maybe once every other game? I know it can happen if you rightclick an enemy and the enemy dies or goes out of vision, but this is not the case - I definitely click on the ground.

Steps to reproduce (does not always happen!):

  1. recall to base
  2. issue move command somewhere in a lane

This has been an issue for months, possibly years (going by https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/bug-report/Euunhf0G-gameplay-my-champion-stops-moving-seemingly-at-random)

you just counter yourself by saying I clicked on the minimap. im sure clicking on minimap is 100% accurate and your able to tell yourself I did click on the ground, its the game fault , riot make poopoo coding. theres like 10 minions around your tower, and you click somewhere near it and guess what your champion stop moving , omagad what kind of black magic is that.

Happens to me a lot. I always thought that I click on minions by accident. Now I always double check.
