Groundless Leaverbuster

To start with , I already didn't like the strictness of the leaverbuster due to me not being able to afford great broadband that will never disconnect. However , my most recent Leaverbuster is ridiculous . I was playing a game of draft pick normals and the first half of the game went fine. Later in the game my ping increased dramatically and peaked at around 1600ms. I never disconnected once and we won the game , I didn't hinder the enjoyment of my teammates but for some unknown reason after the game had finished I was given a notice of a leaverbuster. I want to know if this happens to anyone else and if Riot ever helps people that they unjustly punish . I'm fairly new to this game and this isn't leaving me with the best impression.
