I just lost Rank points for no reason

Hi i was in rank que when my game froze and i ended up loseing ranked points i had 80 points and when my game froze (got me kicked out of champ select due to freezing with champ picture and ab detales) i was sent to 55 points i think if something like that happens you shouldnt just lose points due to something you couldnt help?
