Disconnected from a game and can't reconnect to it

I was playing a game as kog'maw and suddenly i lagged out and got the "attempting to reconnect message" i checked my internet connection and it was fine. So i Alt-F4'd the game and restarted the client but it didn't give me an option to reconnect? What's going on here.
