Logging onto chat service...
everytime when i log in i cannot connect with the chat .... so i cannot talk in champions select and i cannot talk to my friends.... please fix it

yes now i cant go to lol without that bug

so to sum it up:
- Close Client
- Go to "C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\projects\lol_air_client_config_euw\releases\0.0.0.52" and delete "releasemanifest"
- Go to "C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\projects\lol_air_client_config_euw\releases\0.0.0.52\deploy" and delete "lol.properties"
- Go to "C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS" and delete "last_versions"
should hopefully work for most cases
Same issue: "Unable to connect to chat, you may reconnect manually".
I have the same problem: On the bottom of my league page it says: "logging onto chat service". This has been there for almost a day, I tried logging out and then back in several times, this doesn't seem to work. I can also not see me friend list and thereby also not able to chat with them. It says I have 0 friends. My chat groups are also gone. And I can't see my summoner icon when I am in a room to start of a game, however I can see it on the top of my league page where i can select other summoner icons. My friends are able to see my summoner icon. I play on a macbook air. on patch 6.16
Also having this problem..... not played for months and now I have to wait more apparently.
Tried all of the solutions posted, still doesn't work 12 hours later, :/
delete the config file of your air client
normal installation path is C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\projects\lol_air_client_config_euw\releases\0.0.0.52\deploy\
delete lol.properties
Having the same exact issue.. it's odd.. Defenitely with the 6.16 patch or smthng
Can you check if you have akamai installed ? It is a program for the content caching cloud service for that company. In my case uninstalling it solved my chat issue.
Tried all the 'fixes' still does not work for me.
