[CLIENT] Could not lock in champion

I was sitting in solo/dou playing as support, when it came everything was fine was conferring with my team about strategy. Went to lock in my champion (leona, last pick) and it wouldn't let me. I'd click the button and it wouldn't do anything, made the sound but nothing else. Clicked it maybe 5 or more times. I got an error that said that there was an issue locking in my champ but not until after i had been kicked for not locking in.
