Don't have Captain Gangplank skin?

I thought if you owned gangplank previously you were supposed to get the original gangplank skin? I purchased him before the skin was announced but after he was disabled so I was unable to log any games on him.

You have to play him in any matchmade game before the 10th. From my understanding of Riot's post, bot games do count, but custom games do not.

No, just play a game with him before the event ends and by the end of the event you gonna get the skin..

You need to play a matchmade game with him before August 10th, which is when the event ends. Also, Riot isn't going to start handing out the free skin until AFTER the even is over.

As other have mentioned you will need to -

Own Gangplank before the event ends on the 10th.
Play a matchmade game with him before the event ends - Co-op v. AI counts, customs do not.
Captain Gangplank will be rewarded at the end of the event, it won't be granted instantly.
