Not sure if a bug...

So i just played an ARAM game as Blitzcrank with an Ezreal on the other team. Almost every time I grabbed him (Damage applied and effects Applied), but almost immediately he did his little jump and didn't get pulled back to me. Is that a bug or is that intentional, because I honestly have never seen that until now.
