Yeah there are more threads about this, they managed to add bugs instead of fixing them...
I figured out the cause of the problem. The ult fails when a soldier is in range of the enemy. http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/bug-report/pqlU46y1-gameplay-azir-ultimate-not-applying-the-knockback-in-patch-419
That sucks!
Bump, literally just played a game as him and none of my ults throughout the game applied either the damage nor the knockup.
