So we were at nexus towers in a ranked game about to end, and then the game dissapeared

So today I played a ranked game as Lee Sin. Right when we were about to finish the game(we were at their nexus turrets) the game started to do the "Attempting to reconnect" thing. Then, I waited for about 30 seconds and checked my WIFI. My wifi was fine. I then did Alt+F4 on the game and then when I went back to the Client, it was as if i had just logged in! I checked my match history and the lee sin game ceased to exist.... This was a biggg waste of time (not to sound rude) but when I looked up things online, I couldn't find another page with a similar issue... Please help if you know anything..
