client failing to exit games correctly

In recent hexakill games, most specifically my last game as Vi, at around 5:30 pm the client had a weird glitch where my previous game didn't end. Before ending the game, I was tabbed out and when tabbing back to the league client i was brought to the victory/defeat screen of my previous game, not to the game currently being played. Once I clicked continue, I was brought to the previous games ending lobby and then back to the new game screen. Current game still going without me.
